Anupam Kher visits Dhoni’s father to hone acting skills Anupam Kher spent about five hours at the residence interacting with the cricketer Dhoni’s father

Ranchi: Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher, who is currently shooting for the biopic of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, came calling to Ranchi and met the latter’s father.

Kher, who plays the role of Dhoni’s father in the movie titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, directed by Neeraj Pandey, spent some quality time with Pan Singh, in a bid to get into the skin of their character by keenly observing the look, mannerisms and the body language of the person whom he would be portraying on the big screen.

Kher spent about five hours at the residence on the Harmu Bypass Road in Ranchi, interacting with the cricketer’s father. He will head back to Mumbai after the two-day shoot.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh plays the titular role in the film, which is being shot in the Shyamili colony on the outskirts of Ranchi, the village where Dhoni grew up in. The film is being shot extensively at various locations in the colony, including Dhoni’s old house.

Earlier, the director and the entire crew had visited Ranchi four times before commencing the shooting and interacted with Dhoni’s parents, family members, friends and neighbours.
