Chitranjali studio Chitranjali studio, which currently has the largest shooting floor in Asia, will have one more floor constructed as part of the film city project.

Kerala may soon have its own mega film city. It is reported that the ambitious project will shortly begin at the Chitranjali studio complex in Thiruvananthapuram.

Landscaping will be done at the allotted 15 acre ut of the total 70 acre and a beautiful garden is planned. Elaborate and modern movie sets including railway bogies too would be put up for filming movies.

Luxury cottages, villas and quarters would be constructed to accommodate the film crews. The balconies at these apartment complexes would open to the seas.

Chitranjali studio, which currently has the largest shooting floor in Asia, will have one more floor constructed as part of the film city project.

The officials said that the work on the Rs 150 crore project to convert the studio into a film city with all the modern amenities is expected to begin in December this year.
