Malayalam actor Kalasala Babu, who is well-known for his villainous and character roles in Malayalam movies, passed away early on Monday morning.
The actor made his entry to the Malayalam film industry with the movie Inayethedi, which had hit the theatres in the year 1977. But it was after 2000 that he became a popular figure in Malayalam films. Here we take a look at his three memorable roles:
Lion
This movie perhaps gave Babu a big break for he got to play a very pivotal role. The film was centred around the actor's character Balagangadhara Menon, the Education Minister who was fond of his sons-in-law than his own son.
Kasthooriman
Although not a full-fledged role, the character of Lonappan was amazingly handled by Babu. He did the role of the cunning and crooked-minded contractor with ease.
Thuruppugulan
The 2006 Mammootty-starrer is one of the favourite for families. And villain Sreedharan Unnithan played by Babu grabbed the attention of all for truly justifying his role with grey shades.
The actor was lastly seen in the film Queen, in which he played the role of a judge.
