Ace actor Mohanlal breathed life into' Mannarathodi Jayakrishnan', the protagonist of maestro P Padmarajan's movie Thoovanathumbikal. A movie that brilliantly sketched the nuances of Jayakrishnan's life, as it gets entwined between his love for Clara (a sex-worker-to-be) and Radha (his bride to be), it also reflected Thrissur's dialect in the most natural way possible. The trademark scenes of the movie also had in focus the Vadakkunnathan temple of Thrissur. Who could possible forget Mohanlal saying “Immak oro naarangavellam kaachiyalo”(lets have chilled lemon juice).
Pranchiyettan and the Saint (2010)
Megastar Mammotty breathed life into Pranchiyettan in this Ranjith movie. A matured Pranchi, confiding his deepest fears to Punyalan (saint) at the church, was a delight to all Keralites. And Pranchi telling “Thottonte vishamam thotone ariyoo punyala”(Only a guy who has failed would know its real pain) was epic.

Jayasurya's Joy, an aspiring entrepreneur and his dream to start an incense factory from elephant dung raw material was a novel idea that Mollywood saw! His effortless way of delivering the dialogue in all its grace determined the success of the movie. The sequel to the movie also had Thrissur's mileu in focus.

Kunchako Boban's Vasootan ( sing the song Vasootan immadaava) and his association with a rare breed of goats called 'Jamnapyaari' formed the crux of the movie. A very famous song 'Enthutda kdaave enthootath' was a celebration of the language in itself. Heroine of the flick Gayathri Suresh, who originally hails from Thrissur, was at her natural best.

Actor Dileep managed to keep the show going with his Thrissur dialect in this 2017 flick. Apart from him, it was actor T G Ravi who stealed the show with his natural dialogue delivery. The movie's plot also was about the hero's aim to capture back a native play ground.
