Lead actress Vinitha Koshy has left viewers astonished in the recently-released trailer of Ottamuri Velicham, which won the Kerala government's award for the best film in 2017.
Directed by Rahul Riji Nair, Ottamuri Velicham was also selected for three other state awards - best editing for Appu N Bhattathiri and jury's special mention for acting to Vintha Koshy and Pauly Valsan.
The film had earlier grabbed international attention by securing the Film Bazaar recommendation and is now readying for theatre release. Though a debutant director's work, Ottamuri Velicham reveals itself to be a finely crafted movie, going by the trailer.
The movie tells the tale of Sudha, played by Vinitha Koshy, who moves to her husband's single-room house after wedding. In an amazing performance, Vinitha Koshy breathes life into the character of the young bride who has to spend her days in the new house devoid of any privacy along with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law.
Deepak Parambol comes in the role of Sudha's husband Chandran in the film, which was shown at the International Film Festival of India, Goa also.
