Unlike most actors who do not display much discretion when it comes to choosing roles, Honey Rose is a discerning artiste with taste: someone who does not merely take the highest offer.
Perhaps for the same reason, every time she signs a movie, there’s a buzz. While it was reported earlier that the sizzling beauty will be playing a campus queen in her upcoming Omal Lulu-movie Chunks, not much was known about her character in the film.
Apparently, there’s much more to her campus beauty role. In a recent interview, Rose revealed that the movie will see her as a ‘Mech Rani’ – the only girl in a mechanical engineering batch.
But the actor says the outgoing, hail-fellow-well-met ‘Mech Rani’ character is quite contrary to her real self. “I am quite the opposite of my character in the movie. I’m pretty much calm and collected, but she (the character) is an extrovert, someone who is the life and soul of the party. But thanks to her, I experienced an awesome campus life all along its shoot,” Rose told Onmanorama.
Interestingly, Rose was a student herself till a few months ago. The actor, who has undergone a physical makeover for the movie, just finished her BA. “I got almost a month before the shoot began. I took that time to work out and get toned. I also completed my BA recently from St. Xaviers college, Aluva. In fact, that helped me a lot to perform like a student in the movie,” she said.
Besides Rose, Chunks brings together an array of fresh and trending faces on screen. Anandam fame Vishakh Nair and Balu Varghese play the lead roles opposite Rose. Dharmajan Bolgatty and Marina Michael will also be seen in important roles.
