Lexie Alford from California is all of 21. She has already visited all countries within this young age. If someone were to tell you this, you may turn sceptical or may feel astonished. But this is a truth. This girl has already visited 196 countries by the age of 21. It is the age at which typical Indian girls start looking for a job after studies. And Lexie is not done yet. She is looking for fresh journeys and newer destinations.
When she completed her tour of North Korea on 31st May, she was covering the 196th sovereign nation.
Lexie’s parents are running a travel agency in California. Since a very young age, Lexie was fond of traveling. She let her mind free on travel. Starting with short journeys with her parents, she has now matured into long, solo journeys. This transformation was the key to her present achievement.
When she completed her solo journey to North Korea, she not only clocked the 196th country, she also broke the Guinness record set by James Asquith. James Asquith, a British national had to relinquish the record for the most widely travelled person in favour of Lexie. Lexie is not excited about her record-breaking fete. She is traveling because it is her passion. She is not doing it for breaking records.
She is on her way to the long paths of unending journeys.
