Srinagar: Militants attacked a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday evening and when the police retaliated they fled the spot, according to police and ANI.
"Militants attacked the Kralgund police station in Handwara of Kupwara late Thursday evening," a senior police officer told IANS.
"The attack has been repulsed... firing exchanges between the security forces and the militants are still going on," the officer added.
Meanwhile, ANI tweeted that the terrorists fled the spot after police returned fire. The police have started a search ops for the terrorists.
