Mishel Shaji Varghese and Cronin Alexander BabyKochi: Chartered Accountancy student Mishel Shaji Varghese, who was found dead in the backwaters in Kochi, had contacted Cronin Alexander Baby's mother on the same day she committed suicide.
The police had arrested Cronin on the charge of abetting suicide. Before switching off her mobile, Mishel had talked to Cronin's mother by 3.30 pm.
Mishel had received an SMS from Cronin's mobile and she contacted his mother.
The police had collected these details from Mishel's call data record. The police had interrogated Cronin's mother.

She is understood to have informed the police that Cronin had said Mishel was not picking up his calls and wanted his mother to contact her.
She had told Mishel about her son's request to contact her. The police had traced Mishel's last tower location as Madhava Pharmacy Junction in Kochi.
