Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI, the second largest ally of the CPM-led LDF in Kerala, unleashed a scathing attack on chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday.
Pinarayi was accused of behaving unilaterally by CPI leaders who attended the party's executive meet here, Manorama News reported.
In an apparent reference to PM Narendra Modi's alleged autocratic style of functioning, some leaders even called Pinarayi 'Modi clad in mundu'. It was also alleged that there was no coordination between the chief minister and other ministers.
While some opined that it was not proper for Pinarayi to call a meeting of the personal staff of ministers, CPI secretary Kanam Rajendran said there was nothing wrong in the move.
A section of CPI leaders said if the CPM has any hope that it can easily get title deeds for the land it has encroached upon, it will not yield any result. The revenue department is with the CPI.
The CPI leaders also criticized minister A.K. Balan who had said that the performance of the ministers from CPI was not up to the mark.
