Kottayam: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) general secretary Jimmy George (52) passed away at a hospital in Bengaluru Friday night.
He was undergoing treatment after a heart surgery.
George was also the chairman of Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd (KEL) and the managing director of Sree Gokulam Housing Company Pvt Ltd. He had taken over as KEL chairman only last month. He was also the in-charge of party activities in north eastern states.
He is survived by his wife Sheeba; son Ajish Jimmy George, content producer, Onmanorama; and daughter Anjana George.
The funeral will be held on Monday.
