Kochi: Authorities have managed to pacify twenty inmates of the Government Children's Home at Kakkanad near here, who threatened to jump from the terrace, sources said.
Earlier in the day, the girls had threatened to jump from the terrace alleging harassment by wardens and demanding basic amenities.
All the girls came down safely after government officials assured them help and promised action against wardens.
MLA P.T. Thomas, district collector and additional district magistrate held talks with the girls. It took nearly four hours to pacify them.
The Fire and Rescue team and police were also present at the scene.
