Thrissur: The narcotics wing of the Kerala police, probing the death of Jishnu Pranoy, has found blood stains from two rooms of Nehru College of Engineering at Pamabady here.

The blood stains were found in the room of PRO Sanjith and the bathroom where Jishnu, a first year student of the college, was found dead. The PRO's room is alleged to be a torture room on the campus.

The blood samples have been taken to lab for tests. The police said that they have not ascertained if the samples are of human blood.

Jishnu was found hanging in the bathroom of the hostel in January after the college authorities allegedly harassed him on charges of cheating in the examination.

The incident triggered a 40-day agitation by various student outfits which was called off the other day after college chairman Krishnadas was removed from official duties. Krishnandas, the first accused in the case, is yet to be arrested. Veteran CPM leader V.S. Achuthanandan on Thursday visited Jishnu's house and flayed the government for the delay in arresting the accused in the case.
