Kochi: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) is questioning additional chief secretary Tom Jose in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him.
He is being questioned by the special vigilance cell at their office in Kochi.
In October, VACB had raided his flats in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Vigilance sources said the 'house search' was conducted after it was found that the official had 'amassed' assets about 62 percent more than his known sources of income.
Reports suggest that he has not been able to give proper explanations regarding the assets.
Tom Jose is the president of the Kerala IAS Officers' Association. VACB, subsequent to the October 2016 raids, had found that one Anitha Jose had loaned money to the officer.
