Ashtamudi lake. Google mapKollam: Three persons of a family, including two girls, who allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into a lake here were rescued Monday.
They jumped into Ashtamudi lake from Thevalli bridge near Kollam. They were rescued by the passengers on a boat. They were admitted to district hospital in Kollam. Doctors said they have overcome critical conditions.
It is learnt that the family hails from Kureeppuzha.
