Kozhikode: The faithful thronged mosques and specially arranged Id-gahs across the state on Monday morning and offered prayers on the occasion of Bakrid (the festival of sacrifice).

The believers hugged each other after the prayers, reinforcing the sense of brotherhood and harmony. Actor Mammootty along with his son Dulquer Salmaan was among the hundreds, who turned up to offer namaz at the Id-gah in Kochi.

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former CM Oommen Chandy took to Facebook to greet the believers on the holy day.
