Thiruvananthapuram: The state is reporting a steep rise in Internet scams and online frauds. Over 100 cases were registered in the last week from the state capital alone.

The fraudsters are contacting people on the pretext of renewing the ATM card.

Manorama News has released an interaction between a police officer and one of the fraudsters. According to the police, this how the scammers generally approach their prey. The safest way out is to cut them short saying you will rectify the issue after going to the branch where your account is domiciled.
