Grief-stricken Sreelakshmi had reached the examination hall holding her teacher's hand. However, Sreelakshmi came out in flying colours in the exam that she wrote amid the sad phase.
She won four A Plus and one B Plus grades when results were announced on Saturday. The news about Sreelakshmi's victory was broken to the media by Mani's brother RLV Ramakrishnan. Sreelakshmi is a student of CMI Public School.

"Congratulations to Ammukkutty. Sreelakshmi, who lost her father during the time of exams has achieved grand success by scoring four A Plus and one B Plus even amid deep sorrow," Ramakrishnan said.
Sreelakshmi used to accompany her father in various stage shows. She had also sung in two cassettes marking continuation of the legacy of her prodigious folk singer father.
Sreelakshmi was born when Mani's super hit movie 'Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum' was running to packed houses. Mani had named her daughter after a character in the film.
