More transfers in Kerala police, 16 officers get low-key posts

Thiruvananthapuram: Days after the Kerala government made a reshuffle in police force inviting a row, as many as 16 more IPS officers in the SP rank have been transferred.

Several young officers have been transferred to comparatively low-key posts as per the latest transfer order. While Anoop Kuruvila, who has finished his deputation in the National Investigation Agency, has been appointed assistant director of Kerala Police Academy, several others who had been serving as district police chiefs have been transferred to other posts.

The government had on Thursday issued an order replacing several young district police chiefs with senior officers, including those facing allegations.
