The private bus plying between Malappuram and Perinthalmanna lost control while trying to overtake a car and rammed into the masjid at Aripra.Malappuram: As many as 15 people were injured after a bus rammed into a masjid at Aripra near Perinthalmanna here on Monday. The injured have been taken to a hospital at Perinthalmanna.
A minaret of the Veloor juma masjid collapsed over the bus. The mishap took place at 7.45 in the morning on Palakkad-Kozhikode national highway. The private bus plying between Malappuram and Perinthalmanna lost control while trying to overtake a car and rammed into the masjid.
The driver who got trapped inside the bus was rescued and rushed to hospital. Traffic has been restored on the NH.
