Sweet and delicious rasayanam can add oodles of flavour to your lunch

Not in a mood to cook an elaborate curry, but craving a delicious lunch? You don't have to always run to online food delivery options, but can make a delicious Kasaragod special curry at home if you have some bananas, jaggery, sesame seeds and coconut.

And all you need to turn on the stove is to toast the sesame seeds in ghee. Check out this extremely easy recipe of rasayanam, a simple side dish.

Ingredients
1 coconut
400 gms jaggery
50 gms sesame seeds
1 kg bananas
1 tbsp ghee

Preparation
Extract milk from one coconut
Shave the jaggery
Cut the bananas into small pieces
Heat ghee in a pan
Add washed and strained sesame seeds
Turn off the flame after the sesame seeds pop
Melt the jaggery in some coconut milk
Now add the remaining coconut milk
Mix well
Add the banana pieces and sesame seeds
Give everything a good mix
Keep aside for a few minutes before serving.
