Check out the pretty simple recipe of gingerbread cupcakes to ring in Christmas with style.

Ingredients
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon powder
¼ tsp nutmeg powder
½ tsp ginger powder
½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
½ tsp grated ginger
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 cup molasses
1/3 cup milk
For the icing
½ cup cream cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cups icing sugar

Preparation
Mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and ginger powder in a bowl
Meanwhile, beat unsalted butter and brown sugar in another bowl
Into it add the egg, grated ginger, vanilla essence and molasses
Beat well
Now add the dry ingredients and the milk alternatively into this
Fold well
Pour the batter into the cupcake moulds until half
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes on 150 degrees
For the icing, beat the cream cheese, unsalted butter and icing sugar using an electric beater
Transfer this into a piping bag
Pipe designs and patterns on the cupcake
Sprinkle some crumbled cake on top
Christmas special gingerbread cupcake is ready.
