This moist and tasty cake doesn't have all-purpose flour or processed sugar in it. So those who are on a diet, too, can enjoy this delicious cake. Here is the recipe for wheat and dates cake.
Ingredients
1½ cup wheat
1 ½ cups dates (pits removed)
1½ cups milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 cup oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup walnuts (chopped)
¼ cup dates (chopped)
Preparation
Soak the pitted dates in 1 cup milk for at least 30 minutes
Grind the soaked dates in a mixer jar into smooth paste
Transfer this paste into a bowl and add the eggs, vanilla essence, oil and lemon juice
Mix well
Add the wheat powder, baking powder and salt through a sieve
Fold well; now the batter would be thick
Add ¾ cup milk into it
Mix well into a loose and smooth batter
Into it add chopped walnuts and dates
Mix well
Pour the batter into a greased cake tin
Tap the tin to remove air bubbles
Garnish with some chopped walnuts
Bake for 45 minutes on 175 degree Celsius
Cut this healthy wheat and dates cake in desired shapes and enjoy!
