Make these healthy snacks in less than 15 minutes

It is the kitchen where the kids run to, as soon as they return home from school, just to see what their mother has been preparing specially for them. Instead of buying them bakery items and junk food, you could make easy homemade snacks which are delicious and nutritious as well. Try out these recipes of two healthy snacks which take just under 15 minutes to prepare.

Fried bread sandwich

Kids would love this crispy, toasty bread sandwich which is delicious and interesting than a regular slice of bread.

Ingredients

Bread slices

1 boiled egg

1 small carrot

1 onion

Mayonnaise

Preparation

Roast one side of the bread on a hot tawa rubbed with oil. Cut the sides off the bread slices.

Cut the boiled egg into small pieces. Thinly slice the carrot and onion.

Spread some mayonnaise on the fried bread. Now place the boiled egg pieces and carrots and onion on it. Cover with another bread slice smeared with mayonnaise.

Banana roasted in ghee

It is a healthy snack which is incredibly delicious. Try this recipe if your kid doesn’t like eating banana.

Ingredients

1 not so ripe banana

2 tbsp grated coconut

½ tbsp ghee

2 tsp sugar

Preparation

Cut the banana into round pieces.

Heat ghee in a pan with thick bottom and add the banana pieces.

When both sides have roasted well, add the grated coconut and sugar.
