Ingredients
Njavara rice
Kerala red rice
Horse gram
Fenugreek
Cumin seeds
Garden cress
Dill
Ajwain
Dried ginger
Melted jaggery
Coconut
Sesame seeds
Preparation
Roast the njavara rice until it starts to break
Set it aside
Roast the red rice
When it starts to break, transfer it to the vessel in which njavara rice is kept
Spread them to make them cool down
Roast the horse gram
Add this to the rice
Grind them once they are cooled down
Heat a pan and add ginger, fenugreek, dill, cumin, ajwain, garden cress and cardamom
Now powder them
Mix this powder with the ground rice
Heat the melted jaggery
Add coconut and sesame seeds
When the mixture reaches a string consistency
Add the rice and spices mixture
Stir well
Roll the lightly hot mixture into lemon sized balls
Roll them in the rice powder mix
