From Nayanthara to Amala Paul, Mollywood actresses have always ruled the Tamil industry. To this league belongs the young and pretty lady Arthana Binu, all ready to set her foot in Kollywood.
Arthana Binu grabbed eyeballs in the Malayalam movie Mudhugavu opposite Gokul Suresh. But rarely do people know that she had acted with Suresh Gopi before acting with his son in a promo video for a TV show.
Although she's just a film old in Mollywood, Arthana has a handful in Tamil already. Arthana, who is awaiting her latest Tamil movie Semma opens to Onmanorama about her career, aspirations and more...
The journey as a star...
Coming into the industry was a long journey indeed. When I was in 12th standard, I used to do ads, short films and anchoring. My debut actually happened in Telugu with the movie Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu' Much later Sandra chechi noticed me and that's how the role in Mudhugavu came. And then on, came the Tamil offers.

I believe luck and hardwork goes hand-in-hand. I never wanted to be an overnight star.
A 'Semma' beginning...
The movie Semma has GV Prakash in the lead and is directed by Vallikanth, an assistant to director Pandiraj. Semma will always be special one for me as it was the first movie I was officially selected in. It's a rural entertainer and I play the role of a village girl, a relatable character that we quite often see.

Being on a versatile team...
I am glad that I could be part of such a great crew. Language was not a barrier for me. GV Prakash is a nice person to work with. Pandiraj is very simple and down-to-earth person. In fact, I was able to learn a lot as an actor. I got the chance to work with him in his upcoming movie Kadaikutty Singham opposite to Karthi.
Interestingly, Karthi's brother Suriya's 2D Entertainment is producing the movie. Vennila Kabadikuzhu-2 is another movie yet to hit screens.

The 'Singham' bro...
As of now, I can't talk much about the project - Kadaikutty Singham' The movie is in it's post-production stage. A genuine actor is how I can describe Karthi. Initially, I was a bit tensed acting with him but then, on the very first day of the shoot itself, we took stills and Karthi came and complimented and told me that I had done a good job.
Family support...
I have a younger sister and my mother raised us single-handedly. Hence, we are so close to each other that she keep supporting us in what we want. She was the one who taught us to be the way we are and to treat everyone equally.

Dream role...
I don't have a particular dream role. But all I wish for is performance-oriented roles and do versatile characters. Reaching this point has been a struggle. I believe it's not about the numbers but one must leave a lasting impression on viewers.
