Chennai: Actress Nayanthara, who awaits the release of big-ticket films such as "Babu Bangaram" and "Iru Mugan", has started working on a yet-untitled Tamil film which will address problems associated with water scarcity.
Directed by debutante Gopi Nainar, the untitled film has ‘Kaaka Muttai’ fames Vignesh - Ramesh in the lead roles and Sunnu Lakshmi, Raams in the pivotal roles while Nayanthara is playing the role of a district collector in this women-centric film.
"We are making this film with lot of social responsibility. It will create an impact in the minds of the audience because it's about water scarcity and it happens to be one of the major problems faced by people nowadays. As soon as Nayanthara heard the story, she has agreed to be a part of this film. We have completed our first level of shoot in the Chennai and its outskirts," film's director Gopi Nainar said in a statement.
With a bunch of talented technicians, this movie has Om Prakash as cinematographer, National Award winner Lalgudi Ilayaraja as art director and Peter Hein as stunt choreographer.
