"Ganesh Kumar blackmailed Mohanlal into joining his election campaign at Pathanapuram," alleged actor Jagadish.
Earlier, Mohanlal and director Priyadarshan had visited Pathanapuram to campaign for actor K.B. Ganesh kumar, who is the LDF candidate in Pathanapuram.

"I am extremely disheartened by Mohanlal's visit to Pathanapuram. I really don't understand how Mohanlal changed his mind after extending his full support to me," said Jagadish.

Speaking at Pathanapuram, Mohanlal had said, "I am seeking votes for Ganesh Kumar not as a film star, but as his elder brother."
While Ganesh Kumar is contesting as LDF candidate in Pathanapuram, Jagadish is the UDF candidate and Bheeman Raghu is the NDA candidate.
