Kavya Madhavan is probably one among the most talked about Mollywood actors these days. She is all over the gossip columns with one story or the other, and it is usually about imaginary wedding bells ringing loud. Over the last few months, the social media must have married her off a dozen times. The tall tales still tirelessly continue.
The latest buzz is about Kavya giving an interview for a magazine, where she said she will be getting married soon and there is no way that it is going to be another arranged marriage. As expected, this created quite a flutter on social networks. The surprising fact is that Kavya’s father Madhavan says he is positive that his daughter has given no such interview.

“We haven’t taken any decisions about Kavya’s wedding. If there is any development on that front, we would go ahead and give a statement to the media. Marriage is not something you can go about doing secretively. All news that is doing the rounds on her wedding is fake; Kavya hasn’t even given any such interview. Every month, there's news of her getting married. Some of our acquaintances do call us asking about it, but many have begun to realize that it is all just false alarms. It is the same for us now.”
“More than us, her parents, it is these newsmakers who feel the urgency to marry her off! This has been going on for the past one year. The latest was about a January 16th wedding that was to happen at the Guruvayoor Temple.”
“Then the dates kept changing, but the news remained the same. We don’t know what to comment on such rumours. We have no idea who is spreading such news and what the motives could be. At one point this used to bother us and we were saddened. Now this doesn’t affect us at all, and we just ignore it completely. Without knowing who pulls the strings, we can’t take the legal route. Moreover, we just don’t have the time or interest to follow up on all this”, says Kavya’s father.
Kavya Madhavan and Vijay Babu's upcoming Malayalam movie AakashVani, which narrates the story of Aakash Das and Vani, is set to hit the theatres on Friday, Feb 19.
