Debutante director Omar has got his ingredients right when it comes to the movie Happy Wedding. Though the ingredients might taste as borrowed from a host of other movies, the director scores with the way he has mixed it - simple and fun.

Here are the five reasons why we think Happy Wedding is worth the time and money that you spend:

♣ Humour

With Sharafudheen (Manu) and Soubin Shahir (Bhai) in the forefront, we can assure that their jokes are rib tickling funny and most of which a person can relate to in some juncture of their life.

College days ♥

Its always good to be transported back to your college days. This time also the Premam boys haven't failed in that. Sharafudheen, Wilson (Hari) and Justin John (Tyson) have given quite a performance with a little bit of the normal college movie mix - annual day, romance, fun in the hostel and silly tiffs between teachers and students. If balancing is the name of the game then they are masters of it, they have neither overdone with the campus scenes nor have they underplayed it.

Frustrated engineers

Just like any other movie that portrays engineers who are frustrated with their work, we are able to see the same in this film as well. The frustration is portrayed in a fun manner with Manu who wants to hide that he is still finishing off his 'supplis' (supplement papers) by saying that he is a mechanical engineer working in Wipro when someone asks him what he does for a living.

Sharaffudeen ☻

Although Hari is the hero in this romantic comedy, its Manu aka Sharaffudheen who grabs the attention of the audience with his comic timing and dialogues. A carefree guy who speaks his mind out for which he gets admonished by his friends, which he clearly chooses to ignore is one main reason why you should watch this movie.

♣ Introductory ritual (Pennu kaanals - no word in English that describes it the way we want it to be understood ☺)

The story revolves around the hero trying to avoid his mother who constantly tries to make him meet a girl who she has chosen for him. Omar, the director, has transformed such a simple concept to a movie worth your while by filling in the right elements of humour and love when needed.
