Popular Malayalam TV actress Sangeetha Mohan who has forayed into script writing, through Mazhavil Manorama's 'Athmasakhi', talks about how she perceives life and takes her own decisions.
''From childhood, I used to write stories and poems and have never made it public. I used to write for my own self satisfaction. That is what is important in life. Recently, when I wrote a script, I wanted someone to evaluate it for me. I gave the script to Mazhavil Manorama's Gireesh sir and by God's grace, he and his team liked it and wanted to make it into a TV serial. And so, before taking up big responsibilities like marriage, I have got to do many other things. Do what makes you satisfied, that will eventually make you happy. That's my funda.''
Ask her about her wedding and the young talent says, "No, not any time soon.''
Sangeetha, who is best remembered for her character Sofia in popular serial 'Jwalayayi' and for portraying the role of an additional district magistrate in 'Dathuputhri', has also kicked up a lot of dust and controversies.
When asked about those, she said, ''Honestly speaking, my candor speech is far too often misunderstood. But the fact is it's my basic character. If I feel something is not right, I can't help but talk about it openly. Although many accept it, some take it to the heart. Some even consider it as a sign of arrogance, and such situations have created many controversies in my life. But still I would ask everyone to be like an open book. If you are honest in your responses, it will be easy for others to get along with you. One doesn't need to act in real life. Instead of trying hard to please others, speak what you feel."
Talk about family and Sangeetha is a happy face. "The biggest blessing in my life is my parents who have complete faith and trust in whatever I do. It's better not to have too many friends in life. I too have many 'hi, hello' kind of friends, but the real ones would be just a handful," the pretty actress concludes.
