The release date of the film Pomaram directed by Abrid Shine has been finally announced after a torrent of trolls and self-trolls. The date was officially announced by the lead actor of the film Kalidas Jayaram. The young actor said that the film will hit the theaters in the first week of March.
Kalidas announced the release date during the inauguration of Calicut University C zone arts festival at Manjeri NSS College. He said that the date was not disclosed to media or posted on social media and that the date was being announced for the first time.
Kalidas, like his father Jayaram, is a sportive personality and doesn't shy away from having a good laugh at himself whenever he gets a chance. That was evident in his reaction to the memes and trolls on the first anniversary of the song from Poomaram.
But Kalidas took criticisms in his stride and shared a few of them in his Facebook page.
There were reports earlier that Poomaram would hit the theaters in December last year as a Christmas release, but the audience who waited to see another star kid on big screen was disappointed.
The makers later confirmed that there were some technical issues that needed to be solved before releasing the movie. As Malayali audience kept waiting on end to see the movie on screen, Kalidas’ Tamil movie got released.
One of the trolls shared by Kalidas, had showed other star kids like Dulquer Salman, Pranav Mohanlal and Gokul Suresh Gopi whizzing past in super cars and bikes, while Kalidas still riding a bicycle wondering how long would he take to make it there. Anyway, his fans too have enjoyed the troll and lauded the actor's positive attitude.
