Actor Jayaram is an all-time favorite hero in Malayalam, especially among family audience. A Padma Shri award recipient, Jayaram is currently busy with a handful of projects in Malayalam and Tamil film industries.
As part of the promotion of his upcoming movie Aakasha Mittayi, Jayaram recently appeared on singer Rimi Tomy's chat show on Mazhavil Manorama, Onnum Onnum Moonu.
Jayaram was welcomed to the show with a recital of chendamelam. During the show, Rimi asked the actor to name the prettiest actress he has worked with and Jayaram replied with a smile, “I have worked with more than 100 actresses so far and interestingly, with most of them, I had the ‘thali kettu’ (tying the knot) scene. This includes Rimi in Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare.
“And if you ask me about beauty, the concept varies from person-to-person. For me, the prettiest of them all is the one I took home. She’s none other than my wife,” he said.
Jayaram also mentioned that he married Parvathy on September 7, 1992, at a time when she was at the peak of her career. He also revealed that it was her decision to quit acting as she wanted to spend more time with their children and that he has the utmost respect for her decision. The couple has two children: Kalidas Jayaram and Malavika.
Aakasha Mittayi, which marks the Mollywood debut of filmmaker Samuthirakani, will hit screens on Friday, October 20. The actor-turned-director had played a significant role in the Mohanlal-starrer Oppam.
