Kavya with Nishal (R) and Kavya & DileepEver since actor Dileep got arrested in connection with the actress attack case, many people including superstars raised their voice against him. People seem to be digging out old videos and news articles of people criticizing the actor. Even a statement by Kavya Madhavan’s ex-husband Nishal and his mother is being quoted again.
After her first wedding, Kavya Madhavan shifted to Kuwait with Nishal but returned to Kerala within a few months. Even though the actress initially remained tight-lipped about the divorce, Nishal had alleged that Kavya was cheating on him. He had claimed that Kavya was having an illicit affair with a popular Malayalam actor and continued the same even after marriage. But the actress, later filed a domestic violence complaint against Nishal.
Years later, an audio clipping of Nishal’s mother also surfaced online where she revealed that the popular Malayalam actor was none other than Dileep. She also alleged that Dileep had threatened and pressurized Nishal for divorce. She even said that Dileep used a quotation gang to build up pressure on Nishal.

Kavya Madhavan married Nishal Chandra on February 9, 2009. However, she returned to her home in June the same year and filed for divorce on July 24, 2010. Divorce was granted on May 30, 2011.
After divorcing Kavya, Nishal married Remya S. Nath in 2013 and is currently settled in USA.
