Chennai: Tamil superstar Vijay, who plays a triple role in his next yet-untitled Tamil outing, will be seen in a clean shaven avatar in one of the characters.
A leaked image from the film featuring Vijay in a clean shaven look went viral on Sunday night.
"In the ongoing schedule in Rajasthan, Vijay sir sports a clean shaven look. It's for one of the characters in the film. It's in the film's flashback portion, he will be seen in a bearded avatar sporting twirled moustache," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The makers have already wrapped up the period portion.
Nithya Menen plays Vijay's pair in the 1980s portion which was shot in a specially erected set in the city.
Last week, the makers shot an important sequence with a steam engine in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
Being directed by Atlee, the film marks his reunion with Vijay after last year's Tamil blockbuster Theri.
The film, which has music by A.R Rahman, also stars SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
