When asked about her first husband and serial actor Kishore Sathya, Charmila said he was the one who spoiled her lifeAfter two decades, actress Charmila is back in news, but all for the wrong reasons. The yesteryear actress has stirred up controversies once again after she made some shocking revelations about her failed relationships in a recent interview to a Television channel.
In the interview, Charmila revealed that she was in a live-in relationship with actor Babu Antony after the duo fell in love on the sets of the movie Kadal. But things didn't work out with Babu Antony and Charmila went into a state of depression after he broke up with her.
When asked about her first husband and serial actor Kishore Sathya, Charmila said he was the one who spoiled her life. ''Kishore Sathya was the assistant director of the movie Adivaram and I happened to be pally with him. It was just after his mother's death and we both supported each other. Later, he proposed me and we went ahead for register marriage.
"After the marriage, he wanted me to stay away from the industry and left for Sharjah. I could not sign a Vikram movie because of him. After waiting for four years, I managed to get a visa and we began to live together. But then I realized, he was a different person altogether. He started showing his real self. I came to know that he married me only to gain popularity," she said.
However, when Vanitha Online contacted Kishore, he denied all the allegations raised against him and said, ''Charmila was never a wife to me. A marriage happens when two people and two families come together with a common agreement, but our case was different.
Charmila blackmailed me and threatened to commit suicide, says Kishore Sathya"During the shoot of Adivaram, she was depressed and the whole crew made sure to make her feel at ease. But she had special feelings for me. I never proposed her. She requested me many a time to marry her. I did not know how to make her understand. When I said no to her proposal, she started blackmailing me and threatened to commit suicide. I had no other option than to agree.
“"I was just 22 years old then and had got a job in Sharjah. When she finally came to me in Sharjah, I learned that she was an alcoholic and used drugs. It was a shock to me and I couldn't take it anymore. My parents asked me to go ahead with divorce proceedings and thus finally, I returned to Kerala and married Pooja. It's been nine years since I married her and we have a kid too. She is making such allegations to destroy me and my family.''
Further, in response to Kishore's statements, Charmila told Manorama Online, ''Kishore killed my child and destroyed my career. Isn't that enough? I married Kishore in 1995. If I wanted a star-studded wedding, I could have easily got one. Who am I to threaten him?
"Is he such a coward to agree for marriage just because of a suicide threat? He tortured me physically and mentally. When he came to know that I was pregnant, he was angry. He did everything to kill the baby and finally, I had to return home for abortion. It was because of his family that I chose to keep mum till this point. I lost my life only because of him.''
