Thiruvananthapuram: The valuation of the answer scripts of the SSLC examination for the year 2015-2016 began on Friday.
As many as 11,059 teachers have been drafted into the exercise, held in 54 camps under South, South Central, Central and North zones. A reserve list of 1,000 teachers has also been published. On an average, there are 13 camps in each zone.
As many as 4.74 lakh students had appeared this year’s examination.
The evaluation process is expected to be over by April 16. Marks will be uploaded on the servers the next day while the verification will be completed on April 20. The results could be published by April 25.
The evaluation will begin at 9.30 am and end at 4.30 pm every day. Sundays and April 14 (Vishu) will be holidays.
To overcome the shortage of Physics and Chemistry teachers as examiners, the DEOs had been instructed to prepare a list of assistant examiners. The first session of the first day will see double valuation of the answer sheets. The teachers on the reserve list have also been directed to be present at the respective camps on day one, said examination secretary K. A. Lal.
The process of uploading the marks on the Pareeksha Bhavan’s server will begin on Saturday. The marks will be cross-checked and entered into the system by a team of teachers who have been trained by the master trainers of the IT@School project. Recording of grace marks has already been completed.
The results will be declared after getting approval from the exam board. In the new software, there is a feature blocking entries on the score sheet of those students who did not attend the exam.
