The ubtan face mask is perhaps the oldest beauty tip that men and women knew since ages. Its an effective combination of natural remedies that exfoliate, moisturize, and brighten the skin. While ubtan mixtures can be prepared in many ways to suit different skin types, the basic ubtan is easy to prepare and can be used daily. Use ubtan for two weeks and experience the change for yourself.
Ingredients
Wheat flour – 1 spoon
Besan (Chick-pea flour) – 1 spoon
Turmeric (Kasthoori Manjal) – ½ spoon
Curd – 1 spoon
Lemon juice – Few drops
Rose water – As required
How to prepare
Mix all the ingredients with rose water to form a paste like consistency.
Application and removal
Apply the pack evenly on your face and neck. You may use your fingers or use a flat brush for the same. Once completely dry, scrape it off as much as you can before using water to wash it off completely. Follow it up with a light moisturizer that suits your skin.
Why it works
All the ingredients that go into the making of ubtan is rich in properties that make the skin glowing and healthy. While wheat has selenium which neutralizes excess free radicals and protect cells from damage caused by oxidative stress besan aids in oil removal from the face. Turmeric is antimicrobial and has skin-brightening properties while curd helps remove tan. Lemon juice, also citric in nature cleanses and removes facial tan. Rose water being an ideal toner minimizes facial pores.
