Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau (VACB) is probing the role of other senior Congress leaders in the bar bribery case. Congress leader Benny Behanan has been accused of using the alleged bribe received from bar owners for settling the solar scam.
Meanwhile, the vigilance has begun investigation into the assets of former Kerala excise minister K Babu. The officials are examining two banks lockers of his son-in-law in Thodupuzha.

The VACB has intensified its probe into the alleged irregularities by ministers of the previous UDF government. Last Saturday, Kerala's anti-corruption watchdog conducted searches at the residences of Babu, his two daughters and his two alleged benamis in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him.
The Ernakulam VACB special cell team had seized valuable documents from their houses.
