Representational imageWayanad: A young woman at Pulinjalil near Mananthavady suffered burns after she was attacked with acid by a man on Saturday night, for rejecting his marriage proposal.
The woman and her father, who tried to stop the attack, suffered burns. Though they were rushed to District Hospital at Manathavady, they were later shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
Melbin, a native of Poothamapara in Kozhikode, who committed the crime surrendered before Manathavady police after the incident.
