Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala industries minister E.P. Jayarajan, who has been facing flak from various corners for alleged nepotism, has reportedly handed over resignation letter to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

It is learnt that Jayarajan handed over the letter to Pinarayi by 8.15 pm on Thursday, Manorama News reported. However, a final decision on whether to accept the resignation will be taken only at the CPM's state secretariat meeting on Friday.
Earlier in the day, the Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau had ordered a quick verification into allegations that Jayarajan appointed his relatives to top posts of various public sector units flouting rules.
