If you're hoping for an Italian dinner or a European cuisine, head to Sahib's grill at S.N. Park road in Kannur. We guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Their mouth-watering Sahib's canopie, the yummy chicken lasagna and grilled vegetables with mix sauce are not something to be missed. The restaurant's relaxed ambiance and the friendly staff made us wanting to go there again. Their sizzling brownie with ice cream after a sumptuous dinner made us very happy.
2. Cake Studio
As you walk through the railway station road, the smell of fresh baked cakes, cookies and pastries will definitely drive you wild. There are lots of bakeries in Kannur but Cake Studio on the Railway Station Road located will give you a happy high. And when you take a bite of one of these creations, the taste is even better.
3. Odhen's hotel
Odhen's situated at Onden road is famous for their tasty sea food. The place is crowded from 12.30 till 3 for lunch and if you are fine waiting for the best meal you could have in Kannur, then Odhen’s is the best choice.

One shouldn’t miss Pazhayidam Mohanan Namboothiri’s grand meal from Jawahar Stadium. This is his 13th year that he is cooking the feast for Kalolsavam crowd.

How can you not have biriyani from Kannur as it’s an indispensable part of the menu in just about every restaurant? This restaurant situated at S.M. Road has the yummiest biriyani packed with flavor. Their biriyani rice sautéed in ghee added to the aroma making it irresistible. A lime tea after the lunch is a must-have.

These snacks from Kannur bakeries are a must in your list if you are a foodie. Unnakkay, Chattipathiri, Kallumakkaya (mussels), Arikadukka are a must try if you are in Kannur.

We have had lime tea from various places but Kannur has something special with it. Not even one restaurant disappointed us and almost all the restaurants served lime tea.

We were on our way to St Michael's School to watch Natakam competition. Right outside the school, there was this small shamiana set up by a group of art, music lovers of Kannur. The stall has live painting sessions. In the evenings, it's all about music. Nihad, the vocalist, Alvin who plays guitar, Jijin and other members of the team mesmerized the audience who came to attend the Kalolsavam. People started flocking in to hear them sing their favorite songs. If you want to get away from Kalolsavam stress, this would be a perfect energizer. Go there this evening itself, you'd love it.
9. Beaches
Baby beach and Payyambalam beach are nearest to the Kalolsavam venues. Boating experience at Payyambalam and pristine shores of Baby beach is a good hang-out place with your friends.
10. Exhibition
Malayala Manorama has set up an exhibition at the Police Ground, the main venue, with some of the old, precious pictures published by the daily in the past years. Pictures of Chitra winning 1st prize, Yesudas, and actor Vineeth performing during Kalolsavam are displayed at the exhibition.
