I fear a sad demise of Kalolsavam: Baburaj Baburaj

Kalolsavam venues have become a fighting ring for parents, said actor Baburaj. "The number of complaints and appeals are increasing year by year, crossing all records. If this continues, I fear a sad demise of Kalolsavam soon," he said.

However, he was happy to see the increasing number of participants, which according to him is a positive surge in the confidence level of children. "Thanks to the mushrooming of competition venues around villages and municipalities," he added.

Baburaj was also a regular in school youth festival venues during his school days. He was an active participant in drama, group song and skit.

The actor expressed his anxiety regarding the future of Kalolsavam winners. "I wonder where all these prize winners go. We see very few of them budding in fame. Very few 'best-singers' turn singers in their real life and very few 'best-actors' turn up in film industry," he said.
