Rasappan (65), died when news was flashed that Jaya is in a serious condition while Palaniyammal (62) died as soon as the news of Jaya's death was flashed on TV. She had been anxious about the CM ever since she was hospitalized.
Raju (38), AIADMK district committee member at Erode fell unconscious as soon as the news came in that Jaya was no more. He died when he was taken to the hospital. Thankamma (60) collapsed on hearing about Jaya's demise and died while she was being taken to hospital.
Shanmukham (50) died when he was watching the news of Jaya's death on TV.
Some party workers in the state tried to commit suicide.
