Kochi: The Kerala police have beefed up security in and around Kochi in view of the final match of the ISL tournament here Sunday. The security measures for the final match is supervised by Ernakulam range IG, S. Sreejith.
A company of 1400 police personnel will be deployed inside and outside the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Kaloor as part of security measures when the match gets underway. The match-goers have been barred from carrying bags, bottles, helmet, musical instruments, crackers, match box and so on inside the stadium.
Although the organizers said that entry of ticket holders will be allowed till 6 pm, thee police have directed that the spectators should get inside the stadium by 5.30 pm.
Ticket is compulsory of children aged above three years. Children aged below 18 should come to the stadium along with their parents, police said. Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachan and Mukesh Ambani will arrive in Kochi to watch the match.
