Stills from the music video. Malayalam music director-singer Alphons Joseph has released a spirited song as his tribute to Kerala Blasters who have marched into the ISL final.
The song, composed and sung by Alphons, was released on his YouTube channel Saturday.
The 2 minute 52 second-long video has Alphons, clad in a Blasters jersey, recording the energy-packed song in a studio. The video has neatly synced in the Kerala team's glorious moments from this year's ISL matches along with the yellow sea of fans.
“The song and video were all done in two days' time,” said Alphons.
“I saw it as my responsibility to make a song for Blasters, but it got delayed for one reason or the other. I started working on the song as soon as Blasters won the semifinals and the post-production work was over by this noon,” Alphons said.
The lyrics are by Jophy Tharakan and the music video is directed by Umesh S. Nair. While Sajith Nair handled the cinematography, the editing was done by Sunesh Sebastian.
Blasters will take on Atletico de Kolkata in the final at the Jawarhlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi Sunday.
