Thiruvananthapuram: Followers of Dinkoism, a Kerala-centric mock religion, observed ‘Dinkapournami’, a religious day for the worshipers of lord Dinkan, a mouse with superpowers, at Tagore Theater here on Tuesday.
The Dinkoists tried conducting ‘Dinkala’, a mock ritual, along the lines of the traditional Pongala festival. However, they had to give up on it following protests from some of the audience.
Nevertheless, they were not willing to back out and continued their celebrations by singing Kappa Pattu, the national anthem of Pankilakkadu, the holy abode of lord Dinkan. They concluded the ceremony by distributing tapioca and chutney as prasad to the delegates who gathered there.
