New Delhi: Congress Uttar Pradesh chief Raj Babbar on Wednesday offered to quit the post following the party's rout in assembly polls.
"I take the responsibility for the defeat in UP. Despite the energy and efforts invested by (Congress vice president) Rahul Gandhi, I could not live up to the expectations," the actor-turned-politician told the media.
Contesting in alliance with the Samajwadi Party, the Congress won only seven seats in the 403-member assembly. He accused the BJP of using money and muscle power to come to power in Goa and Manipur.
