As the temple city Ayodhya gears up for the inauguration of Ram Mandir on January 22, it is also putting in place many more interesting avenues for both devotees and tourists. The city will reportedly have the country's first 7-star vegetarian hotel soon and it will be developed by a Mumbai-based real-estate group. Meanwhile, the city has received 25 proposals to set up hotels at various spots, according to authorities. Many major hospitality industry bigwigs have also reportedly bought land on the banks of River Sarayu to establish hotel and restaurant chains.
Ayodhya's traditional food practices and dishes have also attracting a lot of attention in recent times. The city's special breakfast items like 'Bedai aka Bedami poori,' 'kachori sabji,' 'sabudana khichdi' 'atta laddoos' and more are luring food enthusiasts as well. Kheer, kachori, chaat, malpua, sesame gajak, ladoo, chikki, gud ke laddoo are also some of the popular Ayodhya dishes.
Ram Mandir prasad packets
From January 22, the prasad of Ram Mandir will be delivered via Khadi Organic or Mandir Darshan website. The packet is said to be an assortment of sweets like barfi, peda, laddoos, and more made with pure ghee and other organic ingredients. Dry fruits, tulsi leaves, savoury snacks, and nuts are also likely to be part of the assortment. The prasad is priced at Rs 251 and authorities claim it will undergo traditional rituals before being sent to devotees.
