Fahadh Faasil is back with yet another fun-filled entertainer this year with Monsoon Mangoes.
The movie, directed by debutante Abi Varghese, was initially titled as 'Bourborn Street', later changed into Njan DP Pallickal and then finalised as Monsoon Mangoes. Fahadh Faasil will be playing the character DP Pallickal in the movie.
Monsoon Mangoes revolves around a young filmmaker's life. Debutante Iswarya Menon essays the female lead. Actors Vijay Raaz, Vinay Forrt, Tovino Thomas, Thampy Anthony, Nandhu, Josukutty and Sajini Zachariah are the other notable faces in the cast. The movie is penned by Abi Varghese, Naveen Bhaskar and Matt Grubb. Lukasz Pruchnik handles the cinematography and Jakes Bejoy composes the music. Click here for the music review
As the movie hits screens on Friday, here's the timeline from theatre:
♣ With more youngsters as viewers and without much hype, Monsoon Mangoes' begins the show at Asha theatre, Kottayam.
♣ Although not a happening story, Monsoon Mangoes moves at a funny pace.
♣ Comic situations are natural.
♣ Interval: Fahadh is at his best with the movie that is probably not everyone's cake.
♣ Second half started well but fizzled out in the end.
♣ Drifted away at the end
♣ Show over: Good start but drifted away at the end.
♣ Verdict: With a quirky take, 'Monsoon Mangoes' is to the youngsters' liking.
